Job Description
Location: Delhi (On-site) Level: Mid (3–5 years) Reporting to: Head of Product
About the Role
BCCL's product team is building the next generation of editorial and AI-powered tools — products used by thousands of journalists, editors, and newsroom operators across India's largest media group. We're looking for a Product Designer who can go deep on problems, design with intent, and raise the quality bar on everything they touch. What You'll Work On - End-to-end design across complex editorial workflows — from discovery and wireframes to polished, dev-ready specs • UX for AI-native product surfaces: surfacing model outputs, managing uncertainty, designing for trust and transparency • Building and maintaining a design system that scales across multiple products and user types • User research — interviews, usability testing, synthesis — not as a checkbox but as how decisions get made • Interaction design and prototyping to communicate and validate ideas before a line of code is written • Visual UI work that matches the ambition of the products — not templated, not generic
Who You Are
- 3–5 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates range — research, interaction, and visual craft
- Strong grasp of B2B SaaS, consumer apps, or media/publishing tools — you understand complex workflow products and the users who depend on them
- Comfortable designing for AI-powered features: you know how to handle latency, edge cases, error states, and model confidence in UX — not just happy paths
- Figma is your primary tool; you use research tools (Maze, Dovetail, or equivalent) as a regular part of your process
- You can hold your own in a product conversation — you push back on scope, flag design debt, and advocate for the user without needing to be asked
