Job Description
Practice Experience Design, Avanade India Location Bengaluru/NCR, India (Hybrid) Experience 6–8 years in product and application design, designing user interfaces for mobile apps and web-based applications end to end, with strong command of Figma and hands-on use of AI-assisted design tools to move from concept to high-fidelity screens quickly
Role Summary
Avanade India’s Experience Design capability is looking for a UI/UX Designer to design the interfaces our clients’ users actually work in — mobile applications and web-based enterprise applications, across devices. This is a hands-on craft role for a designer who owns the screen: understanding the user and the business problem, shaping the flow, and producing high-fidelity, build-ready designs in Figma. You will work close to engineering on delivery teams — turning
requirements
into user journeys, wireframes and interactive prototypes, building and maintaining design systems, and staying with the design through implementation so what ships matches what was approved. We expect you to use AI-assisted design tooling as part of your day-to-day, to explore concepts faster and produce more options for the same effort, and to bring judgement about where it helps and where it does not.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for mobile applications (iOS and Android) and web-based applications, from first concept through to build-ready high-fidelity screens.
- Translate business

and user research into user journeys, information architecture, task flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes. • Produce and maintain designs in Figma to a professional standard — component libraries, variants, auto layout, variables and tokens, and clean, navigable files other people can work in. • Use AI-assisted design tools to accelerate the work — generating concepts and layout options, producing imagery and content placeholders, and speeding up iteration — while owning the quality and coherence of the final design. • Build and maintain design systems and style guides, and keep them consistent across products and squads. • Design responsive and adaptive layouts that work across mobile, tablet and desktop, and respect platform conventions (Material Design, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, Fluent). • Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA) — contrast, hierarchy, focus states, touch targets and screen-reader considerations. • Create prototypes for stakeholder review and usability testing, and run or support usability sessions and design walkthroughs. • Present and explain design decisions to client stakeholders, and refine the work based on their feedback without losing the underlying intent. • Hand off to engineering properly — specifications, tokens, assets, states and edge cases — and stay involved through build to review the implemented UI against the design. • Work with product owners, business analysts, architects and developers on delivery teams, including agile ceremonies and sprint-based design delivery. • Contribute to visual quality assurance — reviewing built screens across browsers and devices and logging design defects. • Contribute reusable design assets, templates, UI kits and patterns to the practice library, and support design input to proposals and pitches.
