LLM Integration Engineer — Remote Contract Opportunity 🌍 Fully Remote (US-based) | ⏳ Project-Based | 💻 Hourly Contract Work We’re seeking experienced engineers to support advanced LLM and AI agent integration projects helping improve next-generation autonomous systems. This is a flexible, project-based engineering role focused on building, evaluating, and improving multi-step AI agent workflows used in frontier Large Language Model (LLM) systems. About the work You’ll contribute to the development and evaluation of AI systems that: • Execute multi-step reasoning and workflows • Coordinate complex automated tasks • Integrate with real-world tools and APIs • Operate in structured, production-like environments • Generate and refine high-quality system outputs Your work directly supports the training and optimisation of advanced AI agents used in real-world applications. What you’ll do • Build and evaluate modular backend and agent systems • Support integration of LLMs with APIs, databases, and external tools • Analyse system behaviour and provide structured technical feedback • Improve reliability, orchestration, and workflow performance • Identify edge cases, failures, and system vulnerabilities • Work with multi-step, production-style AI environments What we’re looking for • 2+ years of experience in: • Backend engineering • AI automation • Systems integration • Strong proficiency in at least two languages (Python, JavaScript, Go, Java, etc.) • Experience with SQL databases and modular system design • Comfortable working in live, non-mocked environments • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Experience building multi-stage or agent-based workflows
- API integrations (e.g. Supabase, Gmail, external services)
- Familiarity with persistent state/session tracking systems
- Exposure to LLM tooling, orchestration, or AI agent frameworks
