Data Scientist, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): • Develop AI solutions to address client business problems by leveraging data science expertise and strong business acumen. • Develop ingestion scripts for aggregating and analyzing large quantities of data by building custom data flow pipelines and data processing modules. • Create and use advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks. • Design and implement AI-powered solutions—leveraging Generative and Agentic AI—to enhance automation, optimize decision processes, and uncover new opportunities for innovation and business value. • Perform exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured data from client and external sources to uncover business insights. • Design and develop advanced analytical solutions using state-of-the-art analytical tools and services. • Analyze and interpret data conclusions using programming languages such as R and Python to enhance outcomes with advanced modeling and optimization techniques. • Present analytical findings through visualizations that highlight key business insights. • Document and communicate analysis results to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other deliverables. • Identify client business challenges and recommend analytical approaches that can be packaged into solutions to drive company revenue. • Utilize: R, Python, SQL, Torch, MATLAB, SPSS, TensorFlow, NumPy. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Sciences/Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Data Scientist, Engineer or related.
