Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a hybrid position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is an 8+ month contract opportunity. Pay Range: $55.00-$65.00 per hour. This dynamic role uses a consultative approach with the business segments to dive into customer, product, channel, and digital data to uncover opportunities for consumer experience optimization and customer value delivery. The ideal candidate will have a robust mix of technical and communication skills, with a passion for optimization, data storytelling, and data visualization. You will collaborate with a centralized team of data scientists as well as teams across the organization including Product, Marketing, Data, Finance, and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
: β’ Use advanced analytics methods to extract value from business data β’ Perform large-scale experimentation and build data-driven models to answer business questions β’ Conduct research on cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning/deep learning/artificial intelligence β’ Determine

that will be used to train and evolve deep learning models and algorithms β’ Influence product teams through presentation of data-based recommendations
Requirements
: β’ Master's degree completed by Spring 2025 in Computer Science or Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a STEM degree β’ In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years work experience in analytics or data science β’ Experience with R, RStudio, Python, SAS, SQL, NoSQL β’ Direct experience with SQL programming and large database applications such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SPSS, Teradata, and Hadoop Desired skills: β’ Up-to-date knowledge of machine learning and data analytics tools and techniques β’ Knowledge in predictive modeling methodology β’ Experienced at leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources β’ Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job β’ Experience conducting statistical analysis with advanced statistical software, scripting languages, and packages β’ Experience with big data analysis tools and techniques β’ Foundational knowledge of building and deploying predictive models, web scraping, and scalable data pipelines β’ Understanding of statistical methods and skills such as Bayesian Networks Inference, linear and non-linear regression, hierarchical, mixed models/multi-level modeling β’ Experience with Cloud Machine Learning technologies (e.g., AWS Sagemaker) β’ Experience with machine learning environments (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, caret, Streamlit) β’ Financial Services background β’ A curious mind with a thirst for discovery, answers, optimization, and continuous improvement β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels β’ Creative thinker and problem solver, with a strong ability to manage ambiguity/complexity β’ Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
