Position Summary
Contractor Remote Work you'll do We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer Contractor to deliver machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions that support the analytical and automation needs of Deloitte project teams.

Design and implement machine learning and AI solutions aligned with project objectives.
Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize models using relevant structured and unstructured data sources.
Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, feature selection, and model validation.
Develop agentic AI systems that automate complex, multi-step enterprise workflows.
Integrate AI solutions with tools, APIs, enterprise systems, and internal data sources.
Rapidly prototype AI-driven solutions and proofs of concept within compressed timelines.
Develop, maintain, and optimize C#-based web applications and APIs.
Build scalable web APIs using asynchronous programming patterns in C#.

Required Skills
6–9 years of advanced experience developing applications using .NET and Angular.
Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and modern .NET development practices.
Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, and scalable API design in C#.
Strong experience building Angular applications, components, services, and integrations.
Experience designing and integrating machine learning or AI capabilities into business applications.
Working knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, version control, testing, and deployment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Skills
3–5 years of experience using Python for data processing, machine learning, or AI solution development.
3–5 years of experience in Generative AI Engineering, including LLM-based applications and prompt engineering.
Experience developing agentic AI applications using tools, APIs, orchestration frameworks, or function calling.
Experience with NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics, or recommender systems.
Familiarity with model evaluation, observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Experience with vector databases, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation, and knowledge-based AI solutions.
Experience with cloud platforms and AI services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, microservices, and infrastructure automation.
Experience using GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or comparable approved AI tools for software engineering.
Knowledge of responsible AI, data protection, model risk management, and AI governance practices. The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $60-$70 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
