SQL Server & .NET Software Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server programming and strong hands-on experience in .NET (4.x and above) development to support and enhance grant management platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, data-intensive applications in a product development environment, preferably within public sector, higher
education
, or nonprofit grant management ecosystems. This role requires strong backend data processing capabilities along with the ability to deliver intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for complex workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and queries to support grant lifecycle processes, including application intake, review, award, compliance, and reporting.
- Build and maintain backend services using .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and Web APIs, for grant management systems.
- Develop responsive UI components using Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support end-user workflows such as application submission, review dashboards, and reporting.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate grant program
requirements
into scalable technical solutions. • Implement and enhance reporting capabilities for compliance, audit, and funding analysis. • Improve database performance through indexing strategies, query tuning, and efficient data modeling. • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines. • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability, security, and scalability.
