AI Backend Developer π° Salary: $115,000 - 200,000 per year At Phoenix Energy One, LLC we are looking for a JavaScript engineer! π οΈ Our tech stack: API, CI/CD, Cloud, Docker, ECMAScript, Git, GitHub, GitLab, HTTP, Support, JWT, NestJS, OAuth, OpenAPI, Phoenix, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Redis, Swagger, TypeScript, NodeJS, JavaScript π Rquirements: - Strong command of TypeScript, with practical experience building and deploying production Node.js back-end applications. - Experience with at least one Node.js framework such as Fastify, NestJS, or Express; exposure to multiple frameworks is an advantage. - Demonstrated PostgreSQL expertise, including schema design, query tuning, and migration management; experience with Prisma or Drizzle ORM is required. - Hands-on experience creating and maintaining RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation in a live environment. - Proven track record of building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, along with comfort using Git branching and pull-request workflows in a collaborative codebase. - A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. - Familiarity with automated unit and integration testing, monorepo tooling, and/or Docker containerization is helpful but not mandatory. π©βπ»π¨βπ»
Your responsibilities
are: - Design, develop, and support scalable RESTful and OpenAPI-documented APIs and back-end services for internal and customer-facing products. - Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines across build, test, and deployment stages to enable dependable releases. - Write clean, strongly typed TypeScript across our back-end codebases while maintaining consistent patterns, quality standards, and API contracts. - Work closely with front-end engineers, product managers, and data teams to turn
requirements
into production-ready features. - Manage feature work and bug fixes through Git branching workflows and contribute to pull-request reviews and code quality discussions. - Improve API responsiveness, database query performance, and overall service reliability across our back-end systems. - Help identify technical bottlenecks and translate business needs into scalable, well-structured solutions. - Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests to support service stability and safer refactoring. - Stay current with evolving back-end tools, frameworks, and best practices, and advocate for improvements to reliability and developer experience. - Document API design, service architecture, and deployment processes to support onboarding and long-term maintainability. - Contribute to architecture decisions, including framework choices, data modeling approaches, and caching strategies. - Help evaluate third-party back-end libraries, cloud services, and infrastructure tooling. - Partner on business initiatives and provide mentorship to teammates.
