Job Description
Build the Platform Behind Mission-Critical Geospatial Intelligence Front-End Engineer (GEOINT | TS/SCI) Quantico, VA
Overview
: Intelligence operations depend on fast, reliable access to geospatial data that supports real-world decision-making. In these environments, the systems delivering that data must remain intuitive, responsive, and dependable at all times. As a Front-End Engineer supporting the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA), you will contribute to a mission-critical geospatial intelligence platform used across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. This system serves as a primary interface between intelligence data and the analysts who rely on it to support time-sensitive operational decisions. The Geospatial Support Services (GSS) portal plays a direct role in how intelligence is accessed, understood, and applied in operational contexts. Improvements to usability, performance, and accessibility directly impact how quickly and effectively mission partners can act on geospatial intelligence. What You’ll Be Doing: In this role, you will: • Building responsive UI components for a production intelligence system • Creating interfaces that help analysts access and visualize mission data • Integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and enterprise systems • Improving usability, performance, and accessibility of existing features • Supporting geospatial and data visualization functionality (D3.js, ArcGIS API) • Working with stakeholders to translate analytical needs into UI solutions • Troubleshooting and resolving front-end issues in an operational environment
