Node.js Developer — AI Integration & Feature Implementation (Per Task)

We are looking for an experienced independent Node.js developer to help us implement features, fix bugs and integrate AI functionality into an existing SaaS platform. This is not a from scratch build. The codebase already exists and is actively running in production. This is a per task engagement. You will receive clear

, working logic or code in many cases, and your job is to integrate, test and deploy correctly. We use AI tools heavily in our workflow including Claude Code, so tasks that previously took days should be completed in hours. We expect estimates to reflect that reality. We are not looking to work with agencies, dev shops or teams with management layers. We want to work directly with one reliable independent developer who we can build a long term relationship with. If you are dependable, communicate directly and take ownership of your work this could be an ongoing relationship as we continue to grow and build. What You Will Be Working On Integrating new features into an existing Node.js and React codebase, implementing AI tool logic including LangChain and Anthropic Claude API, connecting third party integrations like calendar APIs, CRM tools and communication platforms, fixing bugs with clear reproduction steps provided, and deploying to staging and production environments. What We Need From You Strong Node.js experience with production codebases, familiarity with AI APIs especially Anthropic Claude or OpenAI, ability to read and understand existing code quickly, honest scoping — if we provide working logic your quote should reflect that, clear communication and fast turnaround, and experience with MongoDB, Socket.IO and REST APIs is a strong plus.
