What’s in it for you: Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer II to join our Trane Commercial Systems organization as a key member of the product development team which works closely with other Engineering teams, such as the Test Lab, Manufacturing and Product Management to create competitive designs for Trane Commercial Water-to-Water HVAC equipment, encompassing both heating and cooling functionalities. The selected individual must have the technical expertise to support and lead product design projects, product validation testing, drive to root cause for quality & reliability issues, interpret technical agency standards and conduct projects in accordance with standard engineering and stage gate product development process practices.
What you will do
: • Develop HVAC refrigeration systems to meet performance, regulatory, quality, and cost
requirements
. • Review and understand the technical feasibility of product and internal
requirements
. Design and select robust and cost-effective components and develop engineering specifications. • Understand and apply applicable regulatory codes and standards, such as UL, CRN, seismic, and ASME
