About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI/UX Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as a UI/UX Subject Matter Expert with comprehensive expertise in Human-Centered Design (HCD) and design thinking methodologies. In this role, you will provide detailed and actionable interface design specifications to development teams, ensuring the creation of intuitive, user-friendly applications that meet both user needs and business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive user experience strategies, conduct research, and develop prototypes that enhance usability and engagement across our digital platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and user satisfaction, aligning with GDIT’s mission of delivering impactful technology solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience in a user-focused production environment. Extensive hands-on experience with front-end development, particularly in ReactJS and JavaScript, is essential. Familiarity with UX principles, information architecture, content strategy, and best practices in health literacy and user-centered design is required. Candidates should demonstrate experience in software engineering, design architectures, and system security measures. Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe XD, Axure, Balsamiq, Invision, UXPin, and Sketch is necessary, along with usability testing tools. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in fast-paced environments are critical. A portfolio showcasing relevant UI/UX projects is highly desirable.
