Overview
: We are seeking a talented and user-focused UI/UX Designer to define and enhance the visual design and user experience of enterprise applications. This role requires a strong background in UX research, interaction design, and accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG). The ideal candidate is collaborative, analytical, and has a strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful, standards-compliant design
Key Responsibilities
: Define and deliver intuitive and consistent application UI/UX aligned with project goals and compliance standards.Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, and QA teams to craft user-centered designs.Conduct user research, interviews, and workflow analysis to identify usability challenges and improvement opportunities.Create wireframes, sketches, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes that meet ADA and State of Michigan (SOM) standards.Lead and support usability testing and ensure all designs meet WCAG/ADA accessibility guidelines.Provide guidance and best practices to development teams regarding UI consistency, branding, and accessibility.Advocate for end-users throughout the design and development process, balancing usability with project timelines and budgets.
Required Skills
& Experience: 4β5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design.4β5 years of hands-on user research and usability testing experience.Degree or certification in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.Strong portfolio of past UI/UX work, with examples of ADA-compliant and standards-based designs.Proven ability to design in accordance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, ADA).Experience with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, etc.).Understanding of usability heuristics, design systems, and user-centered design principles.Familiarity with ADA testing tools is a plus.
