DevOps Engineer/Full Stack Developer

: We are seeking a versatile DevOps Engineer with strong Full-Stack Development capabilities to take ownership of our online community infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be deploying, optimizing, and maintaining a Discourse forum and seamlessly integrating its user membership system with our online store. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between infrastructure management (Docker, Linux, AWS/Cloud) and web development (APIs, Webhooks, and SSO protocols). You will ensure our platform is secure, lightning-fast, and that our customer purchasing journey flawlessly connects to their forum community experience

: • Infrastructure & Deployment: Deploy, configure, and maintain our self-hosted Discourse instance using Docker containers on cloud infrastructure (AWS/DigitalOcean/Hetzner). • System Integration: Set up and manage DiscourseConnect (SSO) or OAuth2 to unify our online store's login system with the forum, allowing for a single sign-on user experience. • Automation & Webhooks: Develop backend logic and webhooks to synchronize e-commerce purchase data with Discourse, automatically assigning users to specific forum groups/tiers based on what they bought. • Performance & Database Optimization: Monitor and optimize server performance, managing PostgreSQL databases, Redis caching, and CDN configurations (e.g., Cloudflare) for high-traffic scalability. • Security & Maintenance: Implement automated backups, handle routine Discourse updates/patches, manage SSL certificates, and monitor server uptime and security. • Custom Development: Troubleshoot and resolve code-level bugs, or customize front-end/back-end forum themes and elements when necessary.
