Job Description
You will be the first dedicated User Researcher at Slikk, responsible for the end-to-end user experience - from discovery and checkout through to delivery, post-purchase, returns, and support.
Your role
is hands-on and will involve building the research processes from scratch, without a legacy playbook. From running interviews on Day 1 to having a research panel, repository, and feedback loops in place by Day 90, your work will inform product and design decisions at Slikk. As a User Researcher at Slikk, you will be owning the following
responsibilities
: - Conduct primary research across the full user journey, including discovery, shopping, checkout, delivery, post-purchase, returns, and support with a strong qualitative focus. - Establish research operations by setting up a customer panel, tooling, cadence, and insights repository from scratch. - Create feedback loops by synthesizing user signals from various sources such as the app/site, customer support, app reviews, and online reputation management into themes and actionable insights. - Interface with customer care and online reputation management daily to take ownership of inbound feedback. - Collaborate with the communications team to ensure that user communications are grounded in evidence, working closely with growth and marketing. In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following
qualifications
: - 1-2 years of experience at a UX or design agency, with a background in agency work being a must. - Strong qualitative research skills, including conducting interviews, usability testing, diary studies, and Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) analysis. Basic quantitative skills and comfort with user clickstream data and segmentation are a plus. - Ability to work independently and build research systems while delivering quick studies and concise reports. - Thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments, with a focus on both short-term and long-term foundational work. (Time split - 40% long term, 60% short term for the first 6 months) - Excellent communication skills to effectively convey insights and tell compelling stories. As the User Researcher at Slikk, you will report directly to the Head of Product, Storefront, with a clear growth path within the User Research function as the team continues to scale.
