JOB TITLE: ML Research Engineer LOCATION: Remote DURATION: 6 months (possible extension) PAY RANGE: $86 - $96/hr. TOP 3 SKILLS: β’ 2+ years of Machine Learning (ML) experience. β’ 2+ years of large-scale data processing experience. β’ 2+ years of leading cross-functional (XFN) projects. Company: Our client is a Fortune 500 multinational technology company headquartered in Menlo Park, CA.
Position Summary
: As a Contractor Software Engineer, you will be contributing toward building the next generation of AI models. You will play a role in performing qualitative analysis of data and will also be responsible for developing Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient manner. In addition, you will write SQL queries to further process the data. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Overview
: β’ Onboard OSS models and build data curation pipelines using those OSS ML models.
Qualifications
: β’ 6+ years of experience (or equivalent) in research engineering, ML engineering, or systems/software engineering with ML implementation work. β’ Coding background in Python, PyTorch, and SQL. β’ Publications of their work and experience giving presentations at top conferences showcasing their research. β’

Responsibilities
: β’ Develop Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient manner. β’ Write SQL queries to further process the data. β’ Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code. β’ Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices. β’ Troubleshoot and debug software applications. β’ Ensure software applications meet quality and performance standards. β’ Provide timely solutions to technical issues. β’ Document software applications and ensure documentation is up-to-date. β’ Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
