About The Role
Peraton is delivering advanced mission planning, digital engineering, and command‑and‑control capabilities supporting the U.S. Government’s space communications enterprise. Our team uses modern MBSE practices to translate mission needs into precise, traceable, and verifiable technical
requirements
across a complex, multi‑system environment. As a Mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer - SATCOM, you will support the design and development of platform services that enable secure, scalable, and reliable satellite ground communications and data‑transport capabilities. You will contribute to frontend and backend components, participate in technical discussions, and help ensure software solutions align with system

and program objectives. In this role, you will work with cross‑functional engineering teams to implement features, resolve issues, and support ongoing platform integration. What you’ll do: • Develop backend services in Python, including APIs, automation logic, and service‑level components. • Build and maintain PostgreSQL database structures such as SQL queries, triggers, and stored functions. • Implement microservices and security mechanisms including OAuth 2.0 and JWT. • Contribute to frontend development activities using TypeScript and modern component‑based web frameworks. • Participate in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and iterative delivery. • Support investigation and resolution of production issues using structured troubleshooting practices. • Use Git‑based version control systems and collaborate with engineering teams on code review processes. • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to support containerized application deployment.
