Job Description
We are Castle Tire Shop, an automotive tire and repair business in Massachusetts, USA. We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to build a custom, cloud-based application for our daily shop operations. Our goal is to create a simple, easy-to-use system that allows our employees to manage jobs, perform vehicle inspections, upload photos/videos, and share inspection reports with customers. Main Features Required 1. Daily Job Management • Create jobs with customer and vehicle information. • Daily dashboard showing all scheduled vehicles. • Employees can accept and claim assigned jobs. • Track job progress and completion status. 2. Digital Vehicle Inspections • Custom inspection forms based on our existing paper inspection sheet. • Tire tread measurements, brake measurements, TPMS, suspension, and alignment. • Technician notes and repair recommendations. • Green/yellow/red inspection status indicators. 3. Photos & Videos • Employees can upload photos and short videos directly from their phones. • Photos and videos organized by inspection category. • All media saved with the customer’s vehicle history. 4. Customer Reports • Professional, branded digital inspection reports. • Share reports with customers through text messages. • Customers can view inspection results, photos, and videos without downloading an app. 5. Customer & Vehicle History • Search customers by name, phone number, or license plate. • Access previous inspections, measurements, photos, and recommendations. 6. Device Compatibility • Accessible from Windows computers, iPhones, Android devices, and tablets. • Preferably developed as a Progressive Web App (PWA). • Cloud-based with secure employee accounts. Very Important: Full Ownership & No Vendor Lock-In We are hiring a developer to build an application that our company will own.
Requirements
: • Castle Tire Shop must own all custom-developed source code and project deliverables upon payment. • GitHub, hosting, database, and other infrastructure accounts must be controlled by Castle Tire Shop. • All customer information and uploaded media belong to Castle Tire Shop. • The application must remain operational if we stop working with the original developer. • Another qualified developer must be able to maintain and modify the application. • Complete source code and deployment documentation must be provided. • Any recurring subscriptions, third-party dependencies, or licensing restrictions must be disclosed before development. We are not interested in being locked into a developer-controlled platform or paying mandatory monthly development fees. Budget & Proposal
