The Product Design Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design of a new proprietary software platform to be utilized by research scientists across the country. This role requires deep expertise in human-centered design, combined with a strong understanding of agile methodologies and product management skills, to create user-focused, effective, and innovative products. The expert will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that design solutions are both user-centric and technologically optimized, while also navigating federal regulations and

The Work: • Apply advanced human-centered design methodologies to agile product development, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet the needs and preferences of federal users • Establish project design SOPs and artifacts for the team, including wireframes and mockups, a full design system, site map, and approval processes • Facilitate design workshops and sprint planning sessions to ensure that user-centered design is incorporated into the agile process • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and federal clients, to ensure alignment on design goals and project objectives • Communicate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences Here’s
What You Need
: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 7+ years of experience designing digital products or services in consulting, in-house, or agency environments • Experience leading custom full life cycle design and build efforts • Strong foundation in human-centered design principles, UX, and interaction design principles for browser-based, native application, and platform experiences • Experience working across the product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and iteration • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Framer) • Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams in agile or iterative delivery models • Ability to communicate design intent and tradeoffs clearly to diverse stakeholders, including non-design audiences Bonus points if you have: • Experience working in product design for a Fortune 500 company • Experience with HTML or CSS As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland.
