Job Description
Description We're seeking a customer-obsessed UX Designer to join the Secure Third-Party Tools (S3T) organization within Amazon Security. S3T builds the tools and processes that maintain Amazon's security bar when interacting with 3P. In this role, you'll help transform and design the end-to-end user experience for S3T's suite of tools. Your customers will be varied, from Amazon builders who work with 3P, security engineers who evaluate risk, and partner teams who rely on our data to make informed decisions. You'll translate complex security workflows into intuitive, efficient experiences that help users move faster while maintaining the Amazon security bar. This is a high-impact role where your design decisions directly affect the speed and quality of security outcomes across Amazon. You'll work with Product Managers, Security Engineers, Software Development Engineers, and Applied Scientists to deliver experiences that reduce friction, improve assessment accuracy, and drive adoption. Key job
responsibilities
- Design end-to-end process for complex security workflow features—from discovery and concept development through prototyping, testing, and delivery.
- Partner closely with PMT, engineering, UX Research and security teams to understand customer pain points, define problem statements, and design solutions that balance user needs, technical feasibility, and security
requirements
. • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to clearly communicate design intent to engineering partners and stakeholders. • Create and extend design systems, component libraries, and interaction patterns that ensure consistency and scalability across the S3T product suite. • Communicate design strategy, rationale, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership through compelling storytelling and clear documentation. A day in the life In this role, you'll design experiences that make complex security workflows feel simple and efficient. One week you might collaborate with research on findings from a recent study, translating insights into a more seamless workflow. The next week, you might be iterating on a dashboard with your Product partner, designing how professionals review AI-generated outputs and provide feedback. You'll operate with enough autonomy to define the design direction for your product areas while being supported by a collaborative cross-functional team. You'll regularly present your work to leadership, influence product strategy through design insights, and help shape the future of how Amazon manages third-party security at scale. No two days are the same—you might be sketching early concepts for a new monitoring experience in the morning, reviewing prototypes with researchers in the afternoon, and syncing with your engineering partner on implementation constraints before end of day.
