What You Will Do
: Our Digital Solutions, Experience Transformation team is looking for a dynamic and creative user experience (UX) professional who can support the full lifecycle of customer experience research and strategy implementation to create business value for a homeland security client. The Human Centered Design and User Researcher will support implementation of strategic, mission-driven projects for a high-visibility CX office, applying Human-Centered Design (HCD) and CX principles.
The role
will conduct thorough CX research, gathering deep insights into customer experiences and analyzing data to derive actionable recommendations. They will provide strategic advice to stakeholders on implementing effective CX strategies and practices, while also developing tools to support the execution of these strategies. This role includes the task of tailoring communication about services and tools to ensure they are user-friendly at scale. Moreover, the CX Researcher will translate these insights into recommendations to business decisions and potential new service offerings, synthesizing their findings into comprehensive, well-documented presentations for clients, stakeholders, and executive audiences. The Human-Centered Design and User Researcher role may involve a shift in focus, depending on organizational needs and broader trends across the national security apparatus.
Responsibilities
: - Lead participatory design activities (e.g., workshops, card sorting) to understand user needs - Derive actionable insights by leading user research activities and translating insights into prototypes - Conduct, design, and analyze user experience research and usability testing results, incorporating findings into the product - Contribute to human-centered design solutions by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings - Demonstrate facilitation, brainstorming, and collaboration skills What You Will Need: - At least Four (4) years of professional office experience, including Two (2) years of human-centered design experience - US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance - US equivalent Bachelor's degree - Must have a portfolio demonstrating design experience - Ability to travel to client site locations in the Washington, DC or Tampa, FL area as needed What Would Be
