About the Role
: The Designer will shape how the brand looks, feels, and is experienced — starting from primary product styling and extending to packaging structure, graphic system, and catalogue language. This role is central to establishing the premium positioning of the brand ahead of the 2027–28 showroom rollout.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Design
Design primary and secondary packaging across all categories — gift boxes, sleeves, transit cartons, inserts.
Engineer transit-safe packaging with cost-efficient materials.
Develop the packaging system — logo placement, typography, colour, material palette — consistent across SKUs.
Coordinate with print and packaging vendors for dielines, mockups, and production runs.
Product & Combo Styling
Partner with the OEM Manager on form, colour, finish, and combo curation.
Build mood boards and seasonal direction decks.
Style products for e-commerce, lifestyle, and marketplace shoots.
Evolve and maintain the brand identity system — logo, type, colour, imagery guidelines.
Design catalogues, sales kits, client decks, and campaign assets.
Design website visual elements and social media templates.
Support seasonal campaigns with cohesive visual direction.
Key Performance Indicators
Number of SKUs with finalised packaging ready for launch.
Packaging cost per unit vs budget.
Breakage / damage rate in transit (post-packaging launch).
Turnaround time on design briefs.
Consistency score of brand assets across channels.
Qualifications
& Experience • Degree or diploma in Product Design, Packaging Design, Communication Design, or Visual Communication. • 3–5 years in a consumer, lifestyle, home, gifting, or D2C brand environment. • Portfolio demonstrating packaging, brand identity, and lifestyle imagery is essential. Skills & Attributes • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; Figma a plus. • Understanding of print production, substrates, dielines, and finishing techniques. • Strong sense of proportion, typography, and restraint in luxury/premium aesthetic. • Able to style products and art-direct photoshoots. • Collaborative and open to commercial constraints. Working Relationships • Reports to Marketing Manager; dotted line to Founder on brand decisions. • Works with OEM Manager on product development and with E-Commerce on listing visuals. • External: print vendors, photographers, illustrators.
